PRIMARY SCHOOL RULES
Primary and High School Competitions
Southern Touch offers Junior Touch Football Competitions for Primary and Secondary School aged children on Hobart's Eastern Shore, Northern Suburbs & Kingborough regions. These competitions cater for Boy's and Girl's grades 3 through 10.
Junior Competitions are currently cunducted in third term with 2011 seeing the introduction of Southern Touch's first ever Junior Winter Competition.
Important information
- Teams are welcome from schools, individual sides and touch clubs.
- All teams must have a team delegate being a parent, coach, teacher that is in attendance at all competition matches and is responsibler for the management of the side.
- Teams entering Primary aged competitions are required to supply their own referee at which basic training will be provided by Southern Touch.
- All players must complete and submit a member registration form prior to round 1 of competition, these forms are available to access from our website.
- Grade 7 to 10 teams should consist of 6-12 players and will play standard touch rules.
- Grades 3 to 6 teams should consist of 5-8 players and will play Southern Touch's 'Primary School Rules', a slightly modified version of the standard touch rules .
- Cost per team is variable depending on the competition being entered, which can be viewed on the corresponding entry form. Included in the full cost is an entry fee that is required to be paid upon registering a team.
- The school/delegate will be responsible for full payment of all teams; where required a tax invoice can be issued upon request.
